Lively and bright with a high acidity, the Peru FTO tastes like sweet lemon zest and tart grapefruit that compliments subtle pecan with a graham cracker finish.

We are so proud to have the opportunity to offer this limited quantity coffee from the UNAFECOOP in the Valle del Romerillo in Peru. This particular lot is contributed to by 10 coffee producing families, is grown between 5900 - 6400 feet, and is comprised of the Caturra, Catimor, Colombia, Mundo Novo, Pache, and Typica varieties. We love purchasing from co-ops. They act as a sort of safety net, providing security and stability to their members. For each of the 10 families that contribute to this lot, they're able to receive a fair price for their coffee immediately following harvest instead of having to deal with the risk of looking for a buyer as their coffee begins to age. Beyond offering security and stability to their members, co-ops often work with the individual producers of the coffee to help them find ways to improve the quality of their coffee and increase its value. Improvements in the quality of coffee will in turn will raise the quality of life across the community- improving schools, healthcare, and opportunity for all.
