Story

The small island of Java was the first Indonesian island to produce coffee, and is now one of the most famous and well known of all coffee producers. Brought to the island by Dutch colonists in the 1600s, coffee continues to be cultivated on the island’s steep volcanic slopes. Our Java Estate coffee is grown on Jampit, one of the island’s five largest estates.

This coffee has a very different profile from other Indonesian coffees in that it’s very clean, has a much lighter body, is brighter and more acidic, and yields more fruit notes and less of the earthy notes Indonesian coffee is generally known for.

Fazenda Lagoa, Farm by the Lake, is as wonderfully flavorful as it is smooth and mild. Buttery and mellow with hints of peanut butter and cocoa that balance a light and sweet berry tone which rounds out the finish.
