Tasting notes:
Fazenda Lagoa, Farm by the Lake, is as wonderfully flavorful as it is smooth and mild. Buttery and mellow with hints of peanut butter and cocoa that balance a light and sweet berry tone which rounds out the finish. This is a perfect choice for those looking for a full-bodied coffee without undue acidity.

  • Origin: Brazil; Sul Minas Region
  • Farm/Farmer: Fazenda Lagoa Estate, Adolfo Vieira
  • Varietal: Catuai, Caturra, Bourbon and Ecatu
  • Roast: French, Italian
  • Processing: Natural, patio dried
  • Altitude: 2,500 ft.

Direct from the famous Minas Gerais growing region comes this exclusive Roasterie selection. We’ve helped build two daycare centers in this community. We also built our first school here. As soon as it opened, there were almost 60 kids enrolled. Many moms can now go to work and earn money picking coffee. We’ve continued to improve the school, adding showers and a lunchroom, and coffee buyers from other countries started helping, too. It became an international effort that has paid off in a larger workforce, better coffee, better coffee prices for the farmers, and better incomes and benefits for the families that make a living picking the coffee.
