Story
This was a collaboration with Kansas City’s famous American Restaurant in the mid-1990s. A group of the restaurant’s employees came over to The Roasterie and helped us develop this blend. Several years later the restaurant’s management was considering updating their coffee, to offer something new. They assembled some of their best customers to come to the restaurant for lunch and a coffee blending session, to try to outdo the old blend. After sampling many different coffees in many different combinations, the group consensus was that the existing American Restaurant Blend was perfect, and they couldn’t create anything better. So the blend remains as it was since it was created, and it’s still served at the American Restaurant today. It’s also one of the most popular blends we sell.
We can’t all eat at The American Restaurant every night, but we sure can enjoy a cup of its special blend.
