7 Ways to Stir a Little Coffee into Your Halloween

Caramel apples, haunted houses, jack o’ lanterns, scary costumes and…coffee?  That’s right!  It’s time for hot apple cider to move aside and make room for everyone’s favorite warm beverage, coffee.  Because believe it or not, coffee and Halloween make the perfect pair!  Here are 7 awesome ways you can stir a little coffee into your hauntingly fun Halloween night:

Coffee Filter Godmother Costume

Believe it or not, you CAN create an entire costume out of coffee filters!  Sew together new coffee filters and create an angel, fairy, princess or bunny costume!  It’s a cheap, fun way to have the most unique coffee-inspired costume on the block.

Coffee Can Pumpkin Bread

Serve up some warm coffee can pumpkin bread on Halloween night.  Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.  Grease and flour a 4 coffee cans (1 lb. each).  Then, mix together 1½ cups brown sugar, 1½ cups granulated sugar, 4 eggs, 1 can pumpkin, 1 cup oil, ½ teaspoon cloves, 4 teaspoons cinnamon, ¼ teaspoons ginger, 2 teaspoons nutmeg, ¼ teaspoons mace, 1½ teaspoons salt, 2 teaspoons baking soda, 2/3 cup of water and 3½ cups of flower.  Mix the ingredients together (feel free to add in some chocolate chips too!) and pour into the 4 coffee cans.  Bake for 1 hour and let cool for 10 minutes.  It’s delicious, round pumpkin cakes for all!

Pumpkin Spice Lattes

Make your own custom pumpkin spice latte—absolutely perfect for a chilly and spooky Halloween night.  Brew up your favorite Roasterie coffee and mix it with what we like to call “pumpkin milk” (pumpkin milk is a combination of 1 cup milk, ¼ cup pumpkin puree, 2 teaspoons pumpkin spice blend, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla and sweetener).  Combine all ingredients together and warm in the microwave for 1 minute.  Don’t forget to top it off with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon! Now that’s a Halloween latte!

Coffee Filter Cobwebs

Get creative with your outdoor Halloween décor!  Coffee filter cobwebs are simple to make and fun for the kids.  By folding coffee filters in 4 and cutting strategically, you can make any plain, old coffee filter look like the perfect Halloween cobweb!  Check out instructions for creating your very own coffee filter cobwebs here.

Autumn Harvest Blend Coffee

Keep your Halloween perfectly classic with The Roasterie’s Autumn Harvest blend.  This spicy taste of autumn is sweet and full bodied with the added flavors of rich nutmeg and ginger.  Hurry up and purchase though, our Autumn Harvest blend is only available for a limited time!  It’s the perfect coffee to sip while enjoying your warm pumpkin bread after a long day at the pumpkin patch.

Coffee Giveaways to Chilly Parents

Although Halloween is a kid-focused holiday, we can’t forget about the parents who walk miles and miles every Halloween night to help their kids go trick-or-treating.  This year, treat those parents to a piping hot Styrofoam cup of coffee.  They’ll surely appreciate it!

Chocolate Covered Coffee Beans

Kick your standard Halloween candy to the curb and serve chocolate covered coffee beans at your costume party!  These beans come in all sorts of chocolaty flavors—from dark, or milk to white.  Chocolate covered coffee beans have a slightly sweet, intense and bitter flavor that any coffee lover would enjoy.  After all, chocolate and coffee make a great pair!

Don’t be shy to stir a little coffee into your Halloween celebrations!  After all, Halloween is a time of energy and warmth—and that’s what coffee is all about!
