11 Coffee Mugs That Makes Us Smile

What’s the one thing all coffee drinkers have in common? Individuality.

There are millions of coffee drinkers, and each of them has their own specific way they take their cup of Joe. Some keep it simple; black coffee perhaps with a little sugar or sweetener. Others are as complex as the day is long; decaf, 2 shots of espresso, blended with ice and 2% milk mocha, with whipped cream on top.

No matter how you take your cup of coffee, odds are, it’s in a mug. A coffee mug can be just as, if not more, important to a coffee drinker than the beverage itself. Coffee drinkers like to stand out in a crowd. But that can be hard to do when coffee sits in a boring Styrofoam cup. We’ve seen hundreds of different coffee mugs in throughout our caffeinated days at the Roasterie. And the one thing we’ve learned is that a coffee mug is only as expressive as the person that’s drinking out of it.

So what mugs make us crack a smile, even at 5:00 in the morning? Take a look:

I love “different” kinds of mugs! Those are great! I espeically like the TACTICAL mug. Thank you for sharing.

This is one of a pair that were a 40th birthday gift from Michael Martin and Kathy Marchant. Michael made them for the original Bluebird restaurant and it is the perfect size and thickness for keeping the coffee hot.

I only drink coffee from diner mugs. And of course, I have both of the Roasterie’s diner mugs (black and white). Though I did purchase those, I have been known to “accidentally” remove one from a coffee shop if I can’t get them to sell it to me. It’s the shape and the weight, folks. Coffee just tastes better from a diner mug.
