Demo Rep

The Roasterie is looking people to perform demos in Kansas City area grocery stores and other locations.

PURPOSE:

Primary duties: Promoting The Roasterie brand at special events and demonstrations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Represent and promote The Roasterie in a professional manner.
• Prepare brewed coffee for pickup at The Roasterie plant.
• Prepare brewed coffee for delivery to special events.
• Ensure proper housekeeping of the brewing and special events areas.
• Track and maintain an inventory of special event/demo equipment.
• Execution of special events on behalf of The Roasterie and TheRoasterie Cafés. These duties may include setting up demo areas, specialevent areas or booths.
• Execution of demonstrations at Roasterie customers such as grocery stores or wholesale warehouses.
• Provide information to customers regarding The Roasterie's quality,mission, and history. This position is responsible for engaging andeducating customers and event attendees.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Coffee or Street Team experience preferred.
• Key attributes that the person must have include being self motivated,having common sense, interest in learning about specialty coffee andsharing that experience with the public.
• Responsible and self-directed, able to work with little supervision,yet still be able to take directions well and clearly understandexpectations of job assignments.
• Good customer relation skills (good speaker/teacher/conversationalist etc.)
• Organized with good time management and follow-through.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to travel extensively in the Kansas City metro area. Some longer distance travel may be required.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to drive delivery vehicles including commercial van and a grocery truck that may be pulling a trailer.
