Tri Hita Karana
Jerald | Feb - 7
I am beginning to try other coffees being promoted in 12 Oz packaging when I buy my normal 5lb order of Ethiopian Harrar. Tri Hita is my second. It is distinctively different than the Harrar, and I may buy more on the next order. It is a little lighter than Harrar with a near fruity nuance. As with all my coffees I sweeten with Splenda and use 45ML of heavy cream in a large insulated travel cup.

Using this name for a Balinese coffee creates a pretty lofty standard of quality for the roasted bean. I would now say that the Tri Hita Karana deserves its name, having been roasted & handled in a manner fitting for such a unique cultivar. Your final product reveals an incredible range of delicate notes (black cherry, orange peel, friar plum...) atop a dense palette of earthy chocolate.
This is an incredible coffee to pair and savor.

A unique flavor that wouldn't be my daily cup, but deserving of 5 stars.

This is really an outstanding, unique coffee. Plenty of body with a luscious exotic fruitiness that just jumps right out at you. I buy several different single origin coffees from a few different producers (you could say I'm a bit of a coffee schizophrenic) but I've been frequently returning to The Roasterie for this unique coffee.

This coffee has a slight berry taste and almost fruity. I grind an extra tbsp of beans as it seems to bring forth more of a bold flavor, especially the finish. I would recommend this bean to the real coffee lover. I even mixed it with "Steve's Secret" and it was even better.

This is my favorite all time coffee. Doesn't taste like any coffee I've ever had. Smooth no matter how strong it's brewed.
Unique aroma and flavor

A must try for someone wishing to experience coffee from around the world. I both pressed and dripped - finding the press was more worth while. Reminds me of Sulawesi(sp?), but with less power.
