The Ghost of Machu Picchu - Organic Reserve of Peru
Roast: Light / Vienna

The Ghost of Machu Picchu is named after the enigmatic and sacred city in Peru. Invisible from below and completely self-contained the city of Machu Picchu is known for both its incredible beauty and its esoteric past. Two thousand feet above the thunderous Urubamba river, the cloud shrouded ruins have palaces, temples and a eerie landscape.
Similarly, from high in the Andes Mountains of Peru comes this unique and fascinating find. Along the steep slopes of this cloud forest paradise a small cooperative of environmentally conscious producers has been steadily turning out some of the highest quality coffees in this region. A perfect balance of Typica, Caturra and Bourbon varietals means a well rounded and full bodied coffee with lots of fantastic flavor notes. "The Ghost" has an exotic floral aroma that compliments a blindingly bright acidity that mellows into a wonderful black berry sweetness. This coffee's finish is full and smooth, adding depth and body. A pure joy for both consumer and producer; this coffee is certified both organic and fair trade.
This is the newest in our line of rare and exotic Roasterie Reserve Coffees for '08. The Reserve coffees are purchased in very small quantities and will diappear quickly-so take advantage.
